Currently, major legislation is being considered at the federal level, including comprehensive immigration and health care reform. Such policy issues directly impact the lives of Asian American immigrants and other immigrant communities. At the local, state, and federal levels, it is important that we speak up and voice our values on community, family, and equality. Join national efforts and become part of the widespread momentum for change. Your participation contributes to the critical mass necessary to pass important legislation.

In 2010, Congress is considering a major reform of our immigration system. At the heart of this debate is whether we continue to provide others with the opportunity to attain the American Dream; the Dream of opportunity and freedom that has motivated generations of immigrants throughout our history to start a new life in America.

Sponsored by the Asian and Pacific Islander Health Forum
At this moment, Congressional leaders are preparing the final draft of health care reform legislation that will land on the President’s desk. Two key priorities for the immigrant community are at risk of being left out of this historic bill.
Sponsored by Health Care for America Now
We need quality, affordable health care, not politics. Congress needs to move forward and pass the health reform Americans were promised in 2008.
