Help new immigrants become citizens! Last year, over 2,500 people attended Citizenship Day to receive information and assistance in applying for citizenship. Those receiving citizenship this year will have the opportunity to vote in the upcoming presidential election.
Volunteers are needed to assist with greeting, orientation, staff/volunteer check-in, information table, parking, translation (especially Spanish and Vietnamese), and filling out citizenship applications. Shifts are available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
This is the only event of its kind in the country, with presentations occurring in 14 different languages!
